It was an honor for me to be asked to participate in the compilation CD project “Protobilly”. This CD has some of the most incredible musicians in traditional music and songs that they wrote, matched up to a later cover version of that song by another Artist to show the progression of how the music lives on in change. The tune I was asked to do was the “Foolish Frog”, written by May Irwin in 1896 and presented on this record, along with my recently recorded version of that same song.
